New Oklahoma State Quarter!
What a Fun Day, Clay and I went to the State Historical Society to view and buy the New Oklahoma State Quarter. Nice Ceremony, Gov. Henry and Kim bought the first rolls of quarters, The Mint "Eagle" was there, as was "Sissy" the State Sissor Tail Fly Catcher, along with the Deputy Director of the Mint. A very large crowd, and a very well managed sale. I took lots of pictures and that is always fun. I need to buy stock in digital printing process! Lots of children were there, and they gave a free quarter to every child under 18--too bad I could not have planned better and had a few grand kids with me (only have three that still fit that age range) Maybe next time! The new quarter is very pretty, and I am sure most of you have one by now, and will agree with me. Lots of grousing about it not being very representative of our state, but the time to vote on that is long past, so I intend to just enjoy this pretty thing, and am glad I was there to witness history! Have fun, do something nice for yourself today - as well as some one else. Blessings
